Thank you for taking an interest in the University of Birmingham Air  Squadron (UBAS). Located at DCAE Cosford, we are one of the 14 University Air Squadrons around the United Kingdom, whose aims are to provide flying training and general experience of the Royal Air Force to high quality undergraduates who might subsequently join  the RAF or the RAuxAF.

UBAS provides all our members with the opportunity to fly, and also gives them personal development and leadership training which better prepares them not only for service in the RAF, but also any career they choose to pursue after University.

This website should give you a good appetiser of the range of activities that we involve ourselves in; in addition to flying, be it instructional or more 'experience'-orientated, we also undertake several adventurous training expeditions (previous expeds include multi-activity trips to Wales and Spain, skiing in France, hill-walking in the Grand Canyon, and scuba-diving in the Red Sea).

Please use the links to sign the UBAS Guestbook, view the Gallery, or view other sites. If you are interested in Joining UBAS, please be advised that all 2007/2008 slots have been filled, but Recruiting will start for 2008/2009 in September 2008.
