UBAS currently has numerous sports teams, including Rugby, Hockey and Football. Some of these are examined in greater detail below.  Further to these existing teams, if a group of students would like to arrange an activity or competition, then the squadron's Ground Training Instructor (GTI) is available to assist in achieving the groups aims.

UBAS Rugby

UBAS has both a Men's and Women's Rugby Sevens team.  These teams train regularly during session and play a number of friendly matches against other University Air Squadrons, and also Tri-Service tournaments with the OTC and Army.  During 2007, UBAS played against MASUAS, as well partaking in the Honourable Artillery Company tournament.  The session concludes with the Cranwell Seven's Competition, in which all UASs compete at RAF Cranwell.  At the 2007 competition, UBAS Men's team was awarded the Plate trophy.

UBAS Football

UBAS hosts the annual "Balti Cup" and "Korma Cup" at DCAE Cosford.  The Balti Cup is a men's 5-a-side tournament, whilst the milder "Korma Cup" is a women's 5-a-side tournament.  These tournaments not only give UBAS the chance to show off their fantastic football players on home turf, but also to meet and socialise with members of each other UAS.

UBAS Hockey

UBAS has a mixed hockey team which competes at the Inter-UAS competition each Winter.  UBAS gained 6th place at the 2007 tournament.
